Before selecting the right menu or playing the perfect song, we invite our clients to the table to get to the meat of their message, and the heart of the occasion. IT ALL STARTED WITH A DINNER PARTY

Our story starts at the dinner table (because all good stories do). In 2017, Amber Mayfield Hewett started To Be Hosted as a supper club in New York City, where she saw a need for fine dining experiences that would highlight Black chefs and cater to diverse audiences. Amber started by inviting 24 strangers to a co-working space for a dinner party with live music and a few other surprises. By the end of the night, these strangers were laughing and exchanging stories like they were old friends. 

Since that night, Amber and the To Be Hosted team have been on a mission to produce more equitable and interesting social gatherings that inspire consumers and champion diverse voices. Our love of food and spirit of conviviality is the centerpiece of everything we do.
